Judy was interested in real estate for years but did not pursue a career because sales did not appeal to her. But as she was helping a family member look for a home in another state she discovered there were exclusive buyer’s agents. She felt she had discovered her new career, and when she learned about The Buyer’s Agent in Asheville she found her home. With The Buyer’s Agent since 2005, she has earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designations, as well as the e-PRO and ECO certification.
Moving to Asheville as a child, she grew up here, married a local, and raised her children. Now empty nesters, they parent two dogs, love visiting their grandchildren, and visiting nearby mountain towns, especially enjoying the frequent festivals.
Judy and her husband of three decades like to load up their camper and drive an hour or so into the mountains to camp, enjoying sitting by a fire listening to the sound of a lively creek. She also enjoys teaching Bible study at her church and volunteering as special events coordinator. She and her husband recently restored a 1929 bungalow that included green upgrades and a fun, functional kitchen, so she really understands clients that need a great kitchen.
“I take seriously the honor of being a part of someone’s life changing decisions. Facilitating my clients’ transaction from initial meeting to closing helps develop trust between me and my client as I don’t pass them off to someone else. My personal goal is to find the home that most captures the needs and wants criteria that they have given me, within budget, and at the same time makes them feel at home. As one client said to me, ‘it makes my heart sing!'”
