Today’s real estate market report discloses the average asking price in Buncombe County is $628,554.00. The Buyer’s Agent of Asheville dove in to the numbers to see what neighborhoods and zip codes were driving the prices up in Asheville, and here is what we discovered.

East Asheville

28805 – Average Asking Price – $563,323.00

Average Sell Price (*sold in last 180 days) – $337,304.00

There appears to be a gap in average asking price versus the average sales price in these zip codes, however it truly comes down to the neighborhoods within the zip code. Upscale or luxury neighborhoods are driving average asking prices up, however in reality, what is selling, are homes priced in the $250,000 – $400,000 range.
