North Asheville –
Trader Joe’s is a privately held German chain of specialty grocery stores based in Monrovia, California, in Greater Los Angeles. Their focus is on supplying great food + great prices to give customers value. A limited selection and square footage make it feel “specialty”.

Harris Teeter has a slogan “your neighborhood food market.” Founded just outside of Charlotte, it is another North Carolina created grocery chain providing VIP rewards, full bakery, and take home hot food bar.
GreenLife is a Whole Foods location in North Asheville off of Merrimon Avenue. A smoothie bar is a highlight, as is the the name “Whole Foods” for many of their loyal fans.
Fresh Market is known for premium quality produce and meat selections. The chain started in Greensboro, North Carolina and now has 176 stores spread throughout 24 states.
Weaverville
Walmart SuperCenter is not always welcomed by the buy local Asheville citizen, yet the market serves its purpose. Prepackaged food with low prices.
