5 Walnut – Located on Walnut Street, this is still an all time classic in Asheville with live music almost every night. It has been a local hot spot for many years. Get there early to grab a seat at the open-air window, or enjoy a band during an after dinner nightcap. For the beer lovers, you will be happy to know beer is also served, and local cheese selections are divine.
Virgola – Located in Biltmore Village area, Virgola is one the of area’s new comer’s. Serving its own private label wines including Virgola Prosecco, Spumante Rosato, Vermentino, Rosato, and Sangiovese, this upscale wine bar also serves Oysters. One of the only wine bar chains.
Sante Wine Bar – A wine bar, tap room, and bistro in the Grove Arcade with both indoor and outdoor seating. It can often be overlooked as a place to visit, however the bar serves lunch daily beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Zambra – Not a dedicated wine bar, however it’s low lighting and ability to order tapas at the bar makes this restaurant a nice alternative when you are looking for a little more intimate atmosphere. Located in downtown Asheville.
The Montford Rooftop Bar – Located on the Roof of the Hyatt Place hotel, this offers one of the best sunset views in Asheville and valet parking. With small bites to order, as well as a great cocktail menu, this is a perfect place to meet up with friends after work.
